GGP adopts the Giorgione's "Ritratto di guerriero"
Last Monday 16th November Giorgione's paints were finally matched with companies that join the initiative "Adopt a Giorgione's paint".
This project, launched in September by the Castelfranco Veneto municipality, encounters the positive feedback of 11 companies in the area nearby Castelfranco, that all declare to be extremely proud to take part to it.
The extraction of selected paints took place c/o the council hall of the Castelfranco municipality in the presence of the mayor Maria Gomierato, the exhibition staff and delegates of the adopting companies.
GGP is proud to present the work of art adopted, the Giorgione's "Ritratto di guerriero" - Warrior's portrait.
The portrait was realized by Giorgione between 1505-1510. It will be displayed at the exhibition in Castelfranco from December 2009 to April 2010, thanks to the conceding of the Kunsthinstorisches Museum of Vienna, that permanently hosts the masterpiece.
